APC Members Defect To PDP In Katsina State |
Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
in
Kafur local government area of Katsina State, have made the decision to leave the party and join the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Bature Umar Masari, a director general of PDP campaign organisation in the state, received the new member of the party during campaign rally.
According to Leadership, the defectors were led by one Musa Yaro Sabuwar Kasa. Speaking on behalf of the defectors, he said that they decided to abandon the APC when they had realized that the PDP was the only party that could ensure sustainable development in the state.
Sabuwar Kasa also accused the APC of deceiving all Nigerians into believing that it would change their lives for the better.
“We have realised that APC has nothing to offer except empty promises, advancement of self-aggrandizement and personal gain of their leaders,” he added.
Bature Masari in his turn stressed that the development recorded in Katsina State under the PDP led government cannot be achieved by any other party.
“The best we could do as a people who appreciate good work is to support the PDP by voting its candidates at all levels during the forthcoming elections,” he said.
Meanwile, Alhaji Ibrahim Gero, the APC chieftain, and 7, 000 members of the party joined the PDP in Yobe state. The decision to dump APC was taken by majority of the members as they are craving for better leadership that would address infrastructure deficits in the state.
