un

The United Nations (UN) Under-Secretary, Mr Jeffery Feltham, has appealed to all political actors in Nigeria to ensure that the
general elections are held under a peaceful atmosphere.

The appeal comes barely two weeks to the general elections rescheduled for March 28.
Fielding questions from journalists in Abuja, after meeting the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, behind closed doors, Mr Feltham said that the Secretary General of the UN, Mr Ban Ki-Moon and the UN are interested in the conduct of a peaceful election in Nigeria.
