Mr Femi Fani-Kayode, the Director of Media for the
Presidential Campaign Organisation of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic
Party (PDP) has said the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential
candidate, Muhammadu Buhari is not
qualified to contest in the February 14 presidential election.
Speaking in Abuja on Saturday, Fani accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of erring in the law by publishing Buhari’s name without receiving his particulars within seven days of receiving his nomination forms as stipulated by law.
According to Fani, Buhari’s failure to present his credentials to INEC, contravenes the provision of the Nigerian Constitution.
“The inability of the All Progressives Congress’ General Muhammadu Buhari, to present even the minimum requirement of just a leaving school certificate, questions his credentials for pursuing the position of the president of Nigeria,” he said.
